About Our Family

 

We are a family of six following a call to be a faithful presence at a university in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic among college students, faculty and administration. We are committed, along with our four children Collier (15), Caleb (12), Joseph (11), and Abigail (9), to following the way of Jesus together and practicing hospitality to others in Prague.

 

Josh teaches leadership studies and is doing research on one of the great Czech leaders, Václav Havel, and his moral influence in transitioning his country from communism to a democracy. He is a Fellow with Global Scholars, an organization that equips and encourages missional Christian academics worldwide. He teaches at Anglo-American University in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. 

 

Anna teaches classical ballet and is passionate not only about it’s life lessons, but its theological implications as an art form. She has taught at Rejoice School of Ballet, a ministry giving access to low income families in East Nashville, for over a decade. Anna has been teaching ballet in the displaced Ukrainian community in Prague for 2 years. You can view a video of this ministry by clicking here.  Anna teaches Bible and English at the Christian International School of Prague. 

 

All 4 children are attending the Christian International School of Prague. For the 2024-2025 school year Collier will be in 9th grade, Caleb in 7th grade, Joseph in 6th grade and Abigail in 3rd grade.

 

As a family we love dance parties, anything outdoors, evening walks, ice cream, chess, breakfast for dinner, and Alabama football.
